The Dangerous wish thread

I want to park an Anaconda on the far side of a moon, orbiting a ringed planet in a nameless system where nobody goes, get up out of my chair, make my way through the ship to the lower front observation deck, crack open a (real) beer and raise a toast to the beautiful (in-game) sunrise.

That I would like to do too....especially the part where you write.

get up out of my chair, make my way through the ship to the lower front observation deck, crack open a (real) beer and raise a toast to the beautiful (in-game) sunrise.

Give the game tools to make different experiences:

- in a ground setting, have a beast that we have zero chance of killing. The ultimate predator, a Jurrasic park 'raptor. Something we don't fight, but try to evade or misdirect. Leave us listening for audio clues or just running away from a planet at the first hint of it's presence. A xenomorph, the population of "pitch black", a grendel...

- in a space setting, give us things that are beyond our comprehension. Events that the military don't recognize as real and that NPCs whisper about. Something that causes an anaconda to run, screaming...

- give us NPCs who have no back-stories, but fore-stories. Maybe your navigator's brother is looking for them... maybe your copilot owes money to a dangerous gambler... maybe your gunner is a spy trying to disrupt the federation...

There's loads of possibilities :).

I'd like to see a satellite deployment system. Where you buy and drop a satellite around a planet or star. Getting a visual from it's on board camera onto a screen in your cockpit, via a subspace link.
I'd use such satellites for observation of objects during exploration where returning to for a visual update would be impractical. Such satellites could also be targeted by other players perhaps.
I'd just like to see satellites.

It's funny how pretty much all space-related universes omit them, considering the priceless services they provide, that even science-fiction authors can't find anything to replace them.

Just think: You could deploy a satellite to watch your mining rig.

The moment the satellite goes down you know your mining rig is in danger...

Would like some wildlife that is not dinosaurs. For all that extinction, they pop up rather frequently. Anyone who played "Captive", might understand where I'm coming from.
