The Dark Mod

Has anyone tried The Dark Mod? It is not actually a mod and it is free on PC, Mac and Linux. It is supposed to be similar to the Thief games so if you like stealth games you might want to take a look at it and it is free. It is on Steam Greenlight but can also be downloaded from their site. It looks like it could be good but sounds like the AI might need some work since it can spot you quite easily. Not sure if that is still the case.
