So you want to RP being a complete idiot, one that's borderline suicidal? Because that's what you're saying.

It's fine that you want to do that. It's fine that you want to make a thread about it. Don't take it so personally when people who rightly think it makes no bloody sense ask you what you're thinking.
Big difference between not agreeing and stating why, and posting repeatedly "stupid, idiotic," ect. I have no problem if you don't agree, or maybe have a better idea for your own personal play rule set, this was to find like minded commanders not have the thread derailed by people who have the inability to post anything constructive.
My only suggestion would be to better delineate what does, and does not, constitute a "fight to the death". Other than the obvious condition of, y'know, dying![]()
OP
If and only if you intend to start over with a complete new character any time your ship is destroyed in combat, then I appreciate your style.
But if what you're saying is that you intend to pick a series of suicide fights where you'll either "die" - only with no special consequence to yourself or triumph, well, so what? There's nothing particularly brave about that. If you're playing for keeps, iron-man style, and then you're fighting to the death on top - now that would be something. ^^
I'm sorry. I have tried so hard to resist this, but..

I hope that clears it up. "To the death" is for lightweights.
Are you not opening yourself up to be being abused by players that will take advantage of this declaration?
They will engage you if they find you knowing you will not flee if they have the advantage but as soon as they have no more shield cells they will flit off.
I suggest you amend your declaration to apply only against CMDR that also have taken this pledge.
