I absolutely loved the metal above the thrusters, it looked awesome! I was expecting a rough, tough Lakon Type 6, and I've never been so glad to be disappointed!

If I recall, it has a heavy hard point and two small, with a couple of utility slots and lots of class 1-2 internals for your exploration needs. The kicker is in the weight of the thing requiring class 5 shields and class 6 FSD to match the moderate jump range of other ships in its class, like the FDL.

recall from where? This ship wasn't in any of the other games and FD hasn't released any stats as far as I know.

Also it has been referred to as a "Combat Explorer" ship so reduced jump range doesn't sound like its cup of tea.

Combat explorer, tricky naming there, wondering how it will stack up against the adder, because the adder alone is already a very nice and I think underrated ship.

I'm very impressed with what it looks like thus far, it doesn't look like a cobbled together bit of other ships with a lakon cockpit in the front. It actually looks well designed and original while still looking like a lakon.

the others brands will need to grow their models ..... except faulcon which has pretty lot of ship atm lol

When they released the initial image i thought nothing special. It looks awesome from these new angles though.

Much smaller than I was expecting it to be - from the concept art I was expecting something between Cobra and Asp in size, but the pics have it fitting onto a small pad with lots of room to spare - perhaps more like Viper size. If it has a class 4 FSD then that would give it Asp-level jump ranges (or perhaps even more) at a fraction of the price.
