The disappearance of older guides and reference materials from the internet

I was reading an archived forum thread about searching for ELWs and, while the discussion was very informative in and of itself, all of its links to reference materials (ie - charts, graphs, and web page guides) were 404. So, I took it as a prompt to post here.

I am asking for all your archived materials, guides, graphics, bookmarks, the whole sodden mess - everything that taught you how to explore, what to look for, how to find what you sought, and how to get there and back. Somewhere there must be an article that explains star luminosity and its relation to planet type. Somewhere there must be a tutorial on tip-toeing through SPANSH to find systems that have a high likelihood of high end biologicals. Please, post links here. Post your graphics in the thread. Let's put all this together for the new players coming in that will never know the joy of exploration before exobio.

Here you go, a thread of all the stuff I've done here. If any links are broken, please let me know!
My guides there are aimed at an intermediate level though. For beginners, there are plenty of excellent guides, like the one on EDAstro, the one by NEWP, and so on.

I was just reading this last night as a matter of fact! TBH - given the dates of most of those posts, I would not have guessed that you were still active on the forums. Thank you, I will tear into this over the coming weekend.

(also: Is Jackie Silver still active? I keep finding their name in the damnedest of places and you mention them several times in your older posts)

In these times, it's not a bad idea to save a copy of a guide or useful webpage on your computer, just in case. Linkrot and pages disappearing for various reasons do happen, sadly.

There's quite a few "old" Cmdrs still active or recently returned but often with a change of focus in what they want from the game or how they want to play the game.... Its great when, every now and then, you come across a real blast from past in a recent forum post

There might be some things worth saving in my old Best Of Forum Thread (and I dare say a fair few broken links too).

You can have a look here as well, but several links may be broken by now as well.

For all the broken links there, for example ..

Code:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/191019-The-Popular-Guide-to-Exploration

.. try changing them to ..

Code:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/191019
(i.e. change "showthread.php" to "threads" and ditch the hyphen and title after the number)

.. and most of them will still work.

Yes it's been so natural by now I didn't think to mention it. By 'broken' I meant the original resources having disappeared.
