Horizons The Disaster - A Tale of a Poor Soul

Well I just have recently returned to Elite, and I decided to start thing off by getting the Horizons expansion. Right off the bat I wanted to do some exploration so i venture out on my own to explore a moon of some sort. After finding a good place to land i deploy my scarab. I soon notice some ships flying nearby. I went into turret mode and watched them. Seconds later they open fire on my ship as I feebly return fire. They make quick work of it and Im left stranded. Soon after some security ships show, but they are unable to help me. I then began my 37 KM drive back to the station.

Looks like you also tried to end it all when you dived into that crater.

The only thing that could have made this better is if a skimmer had fired on you as you were driving round the base on 1% hull and you blew up as you entered the garage.

Dont say sorry, I personally found this hilarious when I look back on it now. All in all It was probably one of the coolest moments in elite ive had, besides for the drive.

To be 100% honest I didnt even see the crater until I was falling, I may have used a few choice words in the panic.

This is a job for the Thunderbirds Rescue Team, they have plenty of experence helping a CMDR stranded in a SRV by now! But they all are still busy saving me :eek:

Well I wish I would have known about them, as of now im still stuck in my SRV as my game crashes when ever i try to park in a garage lol.
Edit: I just read the thread about whats going on with you and the other person that got their SRV stuck, my prayers are with you. lol
