The Division 1.4 - Anyone playing?

So I played The Division back in March when I was waiting for more news on 2.1.

I loved it levelling 1-30, it was really fun, then it kind of tailed off when the first "incursion" or raid was released.

Apparently the latest update, 1.4, has turned this game into what it should've always been. Finely balanced, rewarding & fun.

I'm interested to see if anyone else has booted up the game since the update last week, and their impressions of the game now it's been updated.

Yes I play the Division when I'm not playing Elite. It is my non-VR game :)

1.4 is excellent. If you enjoyed leveling up in the PvE area, then you will probably like 1.4, since they have brought life back to the area with world tiers.

So I stumbled in on this game just days before 1.4. I purchased a Logitech G810 keyboard that still had a promotional code for a free copy of The Division. So, why not, tried it, liking it. I don't have lots of time to invest...1 hr here and there...so leveling up to 30 is taking some time and I still play like a newb.

Anyway, I played my first few hours in 1.3 and picked up again after 1.4. Not a huge difference for the new player, though the AI is noticeably smarter. Can't wait to hit 30...thinking I'll get the season pass when it goes on sale again.

Awesome, I'll have to install and find out my gamer tag so I can get some active friends playing...

I've asked people to get back into it and they don't seem so bothered.

Yeah, I don't really know all that has gone down with this game. From what I've gleaned it was a mediocre launch followed by some unpopular changes in the most recent patches that has really brought down any excitement for this title. Grind for grind's sake once you hit lvl 30. Now, it seems emphasis has been put back into the joy that is mowing down enemies and looting. TTK is reduced for NPCs and their damage was reduced. However, they are smarter now and will constantly try to flank when you aren't looking. Though, I think something could be improved there...with some enemies I can just camp behind a wall and shotgun each one as they try to flank a position that can not be flanked.

As it is now, I'm trying to solo my leveling to 30 which is proving tough and long slog as this game is deliciously challenging at lower levels.

Think I burned myself out on this. Was part of the various betas leading to main release, then played on release up to level 30 PvE and 25 PvP

I'm not sure I can be bothered with it at this point unless its very significantly altered. I'm having huge amounts of fun with BF1 in any case to look at it at the moment.

I did update it, but have not played it yet.
I like The Division, but I only play single player. Seeing other players hop around in the bases is really disturbing. Don't like that at all.
The Division is a nice shooter with well designed, diverse weapons that are cool to use. Ubisoft is quite good at this now.

I got my copy of division after 1.4 and fell in love with it. Was watching it since release but never thought it was worth 60 bucks regarding the crushing reviews and obvious issues. 1.4 seemed to fix a lot and it convinced me (combined with a sale :D) to invest some cash. Havent regretted it yet. Aye 1-30 is awesome, a nice story, GREAT atmosphere and with the modified enemies (not as spongy anymore, better drop rates) its really enjoyable. I m on my third agent. The main problem IMO is its replayability. Content is just too limited and the developers depend too much on the playerbase to generate content (Dark Zone). The DLCs are laughable and dont justify the price tag, actually should be free as they only offer new game modes.

That all being said I stay with my initial impression.....MASSIVE potential if Massive would finally get their a**es off the chair and get rocking. But I guess they are in maintanance mode. Maybe another game developer will pick up the good starts and deliver a complete package.

Meanwhile I ll continue playing....in short bursts. Its not a game you can keep playing for hours every day. If you do I completely understand the reports of "burning out" and "being bored" because actual content is rather limited once you hit the ceiling.
