This is very generous but I can't bring myself to play this game. I initially like The first one but bounced hard off it about 30 hours in.

In typical Ubi fashion first game became quite decent at the very end of it's life. When they've rebalanced everything pretty much. Just like it happened with For Honor...and to some degree R6. I've noticed a trend here.
No way I'm wasting my time on their beta this time, like I've done the last time.

TBH, The Division 2 should have been a DLC for TD1, but as a full price game with the same graphics as TD1 has, that's a clear nope from me.
NYC was a major factor for me buying the game, but DC? I really couldn't care less.

After having played it for a few hours...

'Reskin of the first game' is the only worthwhile thought I took from it.

Haven't played it but suspect it will be more of the same. Bullet spongy enemies and armoured woollen beanies.

I loved the first game but I really wish they could find some other way to improve difficulty beyond cheap bullet sponges. AI is more expensive to develop than cranking a few numbers higher, I guess.

This was my feeling from the first game. They got a lot right though as far as the setting was concerned. It felt like a city ruined by disease. Other than that the bullet sponge enemies and macro grinding for micro improvements in beanies and pump jackets et al irritated me utterly
