There’s some really creative work here and it still looks realistic which I love. It’s nice to know it’s informed by real life experience too.

Wanted to share bit of progress with you.
Finally got around to fixing the lack of signs in my zoo. Most of the illustrations used here come from old animal books, which I own way too many of. With a bit of help from Google for certain things. Have tried to keep it simple, to make the process of making them not too overwhelming. For the longer text parts, I simply used lines but then in some cases, I added a small headline to indicate what the text is about.
The style of the signs in this park has changed many times but I think I have finally reached a result that is both satisfying and not too complicated to make.
I'm considering if I can turn the process into a video.
