The Dumbest thing I've ever done in Elite

Given that the stranded CMDR was able to save themselves after your advice, I think that makes you an honorary Fuel Rat!?

(I am not a Fuel Rat, I do not speak for them or know their ways, but you kinda rescued someone from their fuel stranding, so I think it should count :D )
A round of applause to both Aerendyl for getting home and Varonica for the advice to get them there.

👏

it was when i trusted the docking computer and it smashed my cutter like an accordian against the side of the station. also when i started playing i tried jumping to the center of the galaxy and didnt know i needed a fuel scoop
Cutter and autodock are a very sensitive issue :D I noticed that when I put shields on the cutter, it docks fine 98% of the time, without shields, it just rams everything :D

Weird. The Cutter is the one ship I use auto-dock and auto-launch with because for some reason I cannot get it through the toast rack without it getting tangled and scraped and the station complaining at me.

that's interesting, because the cutter is the one ship, where autodock messes up big time. Mostly when it has to wait in a queue

It seems much better recently, it still dances around all over the place when queuing but rarely hits stuff and even then only gently.

Having written that I must remember to disable the ADC on my Cutter for a few sessions so that it can’t deliberately prove me wrong.
