It's probably also going to be ok for any of DBOBE's AMA's ;P
That wasn't actually David Braben answering the "David Braben AMA". It was his agent, Mike Evans.
DBOBE: I am David Braben, co-creator of Elite, creator of Frontier, Frontier II and the upcoming Elite: Dangerous. Welcome to my AMA session. I'm here to talk about the next instalment of the Elite series - Elite: Dangerous, but if you want to try me on other subjects feel free to ask.
Stone-XYZ: Hi, thank you for doing this AMA.
One of the greatest joys in Frontier was the physics. Slingshotting, manual landing, manual docking... this was the core experience for me. Will these continue to be part of the game mechanic?
DBOBE: That would be crap. I don't know why anybody would want to do that, really.
Yorkie: Hi David. Do you envisage adding political parties or figureheads to Elite, for players to follow, love, hate, etc?
DBOBE: Yawn. I'd rather talk about the flight model, to be honest. Like yaw - who needs that? Just roll and pitch, like a real pilot. I can't believe I need to keep explaining this, I really can't.
James T Quirk: There were accusations that Fronter/First Encounters had very basic "mining". Do you plan on doing something less barebones for Elite Dangerous?
DBOBE: It'd be hard to think of anything
more barebones than FFE mining, now, wouldn't it! Stating the obvious, I know!
[Just kidding, Mr. Evans!!! Don't set the Thargoids on me in-game.....
