The ECM - dioes it draw power from "Systems" or "Weapons"?

I'm flying a tight-knitted Cobra and the ECM is utterly useless in fights - it's always out of power in the moments I need it.

The Reactor delivers just so enough power (if I switch off the Cargo Hatch, which I always do - the priority system obviously doesn't work properly).

The Power Distributor delivers enough power to boost and usually it's enough. However, in a fight yesterday against an Anaconda I ran out of power frequently (both systems and weapons) and the ECM did almost never work.

Why is that?

A few notes:
Typically, NPC anacondas will fire only one volley at a time and wait for the results before firing another.
Missiles that will be affected by the ECM are marked in light blue if you use the default hud colours. The missile will continue to travel so you may still need to avoid the trajectory.
The ECM range is dictated by how long you hold it down until the maximum which I believe is 3000m, you can release it once the missile is painted in light blue.
In my experience, power for the ECM is drawn from systems alone.

Ok, thanks. That could explain it, I think as soon as my shields are under fire ECM is deactivated (I can't charge it). Even with 4 pips on shields.
