Elsewhere on the web I've been sharing this non-canon background simulation for Elite, with football teams spread throughout our galaxy. Each team in the UCP (Unofficial, Completely Pointless) League has their own made up stats and named players, with performance ratings and goals etc. tracked from week to week. All the stats were generated through dice throws, and the simulator basically runs the matches so even I have no idea who's going to end up on top.

We're currently on game week seven. I'll try and keep this thread updated as we move forward with the league. Reaslly it's just a bit of fun. I'm hoping people will get behind a team and feel the highs and lows of a regular football season. But saying that our PBSF Neto Bandits have had a shocker of a year so far :ROFLMAO:.

If you'd like a team to be considered for the next season please do let us know and I'll see if we can get one in there for you. If you do want a team please give an appropriate name and colour scheme

What made it worse was that I was trying to find my old football / rugby game dice to try and make it a dice rolling thing before having to computer simulate it. I wish I could have found them to make it as random as is possible. I never trust a computer to do it properly.

We're also looking at doing the same pointless BGS simulation with motor racing and the F3000 racing league. If any factions would like to enter a manufacturer / driver please do let me know

I love this, be even better if the daily/weekly scoreboards and standings would be visible on screens in the bar (or checkable on the pads laying about along with galnet news)

I'll note down the team name for next season! Strangely coincidental but I did get in touch with Frontier last night about potential for in-game representation so we'll see I guess. Might be far too much faff for such a little thing.

This weekend's results in the UCP Football league are followed by current player standings and top scorers. It's gameweek 10 and some cracking results for Alpha Centauri Haulers, Colonia Navigators and Merope Terrestrials. A real shame for Lave Soundwaves who pulled it back to level in the last minute before Harma struck a killing blow in the third minute of injury time!

Maia, who went unbeaten in their first six games have suffered losses in three out of their last four. The Sisterhood's manager has blames the loss of top player Guy Pilgrim. With nine goals, Pilgrim is also the UCP's overall top scorer. After taking a substantial hit in their tie against Bast Hotspurs Pilgrim has been out of action for their last two games but is expected back in the saddle soon.

The result has let the Cubeo Barons pull ahead slightly with a four point lead on the Colinia Navigators. However, with their 4-1 drubbing of 17th place Orbits, the Navigators have far from given up.

Sadly our own Neto Bandits still languish on the bottom of the table. With only one win out of their past ten games it's really hard to see any way back for the Bandits this season. However, having already faced off against five of the league's top seven teams, there's a possibility that as we progress into the year the Bandits find some footing in matches against lower-ranked teams.

Elite Dangerous UCP Football League - Game Week 14 Results and Standings

While I haven't been posting (Didn't want to be posting every week as some people were getting... strange...) the UCP football league has been continuing in the background!

There have been some really big results over the past few weeks. Erevate Regulars took an astounding 4-0 win over Alpha Centauri, and then did the same with Harma a few weeks later! Our own Neto Bandits are languishing at the bottom of the table after a disastrous few weeks, and manager Sven Venables has been let go. His replacement - the Bandits' own prime forward turned player-manager Spike Thompson - hopes for a better end to the season as the Bandits progress. In a recent statement to his old channel Neto News Thompson said "We've really put our faith in Bolkov and Rathmill and the rest of the team with two new training programs. We've let down our fans and hope we can make this up for you in the coming weeks".

Thompson hopes to take the Bandits our of the Jettison Zone before the end of the season. But going by past performance, this is going to take a lot of work.

Which team is closest to the Zochna system? It seems that my home system of choice doesn't have a footy team, at least not yet.
