The Email "ping" of Disappointment.

I've got a Vive on order with a "May" delivery date. The email alerts for that order are sent to a personal email address I use for important (to me) things.

However, I get email on that account every other day or so. It has a unique "Ping" noise on my PC, tablet and phone. Every time I hear that sound, I drop everything to open my Inbox hoping to see a shipping email from HTC. Instead, it's usually something from my accountant or the missus.

It's turned into a cycle of "Ping", grab the nearest device, then a deep sigh when I realize it isn't a shipping notice. On the up side, my accountant is amazed how quickly I'm getting back to her.

Is anyone else suffering from the eternal wait anxiety? [where is it]

My April rift has now turned into a 23rd may - 3rd of June rift... Even so after reports of ahead of schedule deliveries I am constantly checking my mail and the forums waiting for news of the next batch to start shipping.

Can't believe best by orders made recent!y are getting priority and shipping out now... Even those where the PC part of the order was cancelled thus breaking t and c s :(

Doing a lot of waiting at the moment. Waiting for:
- Rift on pre-order
- 2.1 :)
- next-gen graphics cards
- new Thrustmaster controller range

I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas :)

Yeah Oculus are making a pig's ear of the launch, they have a lot to learn from a customer relations perspective.

I had the same through April and understand your anguish. Patience. HTC are shipping at a steady rate. Mark 30th May on your calendar and tell yourself it will arrive then. HTC will then most likely exceed your expectations.
