The excitement level of the rides...

The rides are almost empty all the time! the coaster they are full but the wrinkles the problem being that seen the level of excitement is very low (I take the example of pirate ship where there is never people !! it's not realistic at all) In reality the pirate ships are full in the amusement park !! On planet coaster several rides are almost useless because no visitors go there! and I repeat, it's not realistic !! [mad]

We must solve this problem [sulk]

I'm not having issues with getting peeps on rides.

Just a matter of finding the right combo between:
- queue lenght
- price
- scenery
- ride sequences.

Also, it's best to have less popular rides (like the ship) on busier paths than the ones that already are popular.

Yeah I have the same problem with a tonne of the flat rides. I generally don't charge for the rides in my park and try to theme everything as much as possible, and no one goes to them. I think it's because even if you put extensive theming on the flat rides , it doesn't change the star rating (not including queue theming) so it doesn't make a difference which is super frustrating.

Yeah no problem here either. My Carousel is always full! You need to focus on the star rating. Also reputation adds a boost.

My tips:

- place on high traffic areas
- high scenery queues
- sensible queue length (ie short)
- optimise sequences. I have noticed that removing sequences can lead to an increase in excitement however the shorter ride time lowers prestige. There’s always a happy medium.
- price. The pricing works at 6 dollars per star. Go higher and it’ll impact negatively, go lower and it’ll be a positive.
- check thoughts on people who approach and walk away.

Lastly - don’t overdo prices on other rides. If you’re charging 30 dollars for a coaster, they won’t have any money left by the time they reach the lower rides. At the start of a scenario I tend to max prices however I’ll constantly review and lower. No ride tends to be over 16 / 18 dollars once my cash flow is in order.

You can also use the advertising feature to encourage people to a certain ride / shop or to flood the area with people.

Remember guests go to the newest, most popular attractions so you could also consider developing areas in stages, flitting between each one. That’ll ensure a spread of new attractions.

extra tips:

Queue scenery and overall scenery prestige appears to be based upon diversity, coverage and the price of the object placed.
Simple trees and bushes do not add as much as you might want, as well as placing the same tree 100 times, it does add to queue scenery but doesn't appear to do that much with overall prestige rating.

A shorter ride time also reduces queue time, especially the high capacity rides can then make the queues look empty. Longer ride sequences can let guests wait longer, but then they are thirsty, hungry and need to go to the toilet when they are done with the ride.

And like Mez said. Overpricing does increase income but I noticed that if you ask lower prices (still making money) it attracts more peeps, yes it takes longer to earn enough money for new rides.

All in all, it's just a balancing act.

Also don't forget to reduce prices with time when prestige drops.

All my attractions are free because they are on an amusement park but the concern, as I said, even with crazy scenery ect .. the pirate ship, there's never anybody, it should have more excitement (I have already tried everything) and always no people ! "The visitors say (Pirate Ship is too naze) like several attractions like the big single Wheel...

Can you show a screenshot of your park and the ride?

What kind of park are you playing? Scenario, sandbox, challenge or your own scenario?

I think people might be missing the point in the original post, where the pirate ship is specifically called out as being an issue... Which is actually well documented over the forums and Bug reports. The demand for the pirate ship - regardless of excitement, price, scenery rating, triggers and sequence is next to nothing...

Yes, I recall that being a thing indeed. Just did a search.
It appears the Pirate ship has some problems attracting people.

Yes, I think it was after 1.6 it had many issues. My pirate ship prestige went down from 910 to 320. And that is the highest I can get it, doing everything I can. However it has not been fixed :( it’s also not just the pirate ship, other rides too.

Hmm. Strange as some of my rides are under 300 and still have no issues. But then none of my scenarios include the pirate ship so maybe it is indeed specific. Maybe raise a bug report and then others can add to it?

It is necessary that the developers increase the level of excitement at the same level as the coasters, so the visitors will go on the ride , because there they are always empty !

Nah, I think you should still maintain some distance between different rides.

It would be silly to treat a Venetian Carroussel the same as a B&M Divecoaster for instance.

Some rides appear to have some problems by default, that should be fixed.

Well, you can easily get a prestige around1000 (!) for the Test Flight flat-ride! This shows how messed up the prestige system is.
