i have a feeling this season might be all planet and little space ship.
A drama unfolding on a world that looks like it was filmed in a quarry.
I wonder if Amazon have slashed the budget?

Well, if you read the 4th book - it's set on a planet ... with some space. I didn't get the quarry vibe from the book, quite the opposite as the planet was described more as full of lifeforms. But as you say, budgets.
I've not read the books. But from that trailer alone i see a quarry and i see a cheap season of story telling set around a drab hole in the ground.
But lets wait and see.
I'm looking forward - book 4 may be a lot of more planet than you're used to, but it's a good story once it gets going - I'm planning on waiting for it to come out and catching up with all 4 series, hoping the TV is as good as the book

Now seriously, season 3 was already a step down in terms of quality compared to the first 2 seasons, I hope season 4 climbs a step back up, not another one down.

I just wonder if Amazon will play it safe for a season, See how it plays before it opens the wallet.
I am hoping that now the show is on a streaming service that it can be truer to the books, watching a Avasarala being more foul mouthed and cutting will be a joy. And Amos off course who isn't a homicidal maniac.

I dunno, I was fine with the CGI landing. I had a bigger problem with the Roci finding level enough ground and the exit tube being just the right level and length for disembarking... not to mention a ship with such a high center of gravity not having it's landing gear stretching further away from it's base. Heaven forbid an earthquake or storm comes along...

Have a look at what is blowing up at 0:34 in the teaser trailer (second vid I posted).

A ship definitely goes boom in the book, but the Roci it ain't.
