The Extras on My Rewards - What do they look like?

I've been waiting forever and a day for the bods at Frontier to put links up that will show what the mugs, t-shirts, concept prints and the rest look like.

Unless I've missed the obvious I've not seen any pics in one central location that tell me what these things look like. Money is a bit tight at the moment and I don't want to blow the best part of £150 on items I won't like and end up regretting I have bought.

C'mon chaps, there are people out there like me who want to buy these extras but don't want to do it blind.

Elite Dangerous is just digital sex. Who care what the sheets,curtains and wallpaper look like. Just enjoy the whole thing.

There are a few threads about the mugs and prints and to be brutally honest the reception was a little warm about them.

So if you would like more bang for your buck, it may be worth investing in the the pledge tiers rather than physical rewards.

The Mugs where lovely but white, the prints were again hit and miss with some people.

I have ordered a mug but not received it yet (my fault) and a star chart to help me work out where I am.. (I get lost a lot).

BUt I will try to find the pics for you and get them linked up here.

mugs have been released, they are white and not many people liked them, the T-Shirts I believe have gone out and if so people are to embarrassed to post pics of them, something about the huge shoulder to shoulder elite logo on them. the quality of the prints have been discussed and we are all waiting for those who pledged £500+ on the models to make their comments when they release the models. so far not great but others have been over the moon with what they got.

Do we not get a star chart in the box if we ordered one?..if not am gonna order one to.

Edit...looked up my backers reward thingy, so do get one, are you not getting the box to?

DRM-free collector's premium boxed edition of "Elite: Dangerous". Includes a T shirt with "I backed Elite: Dangerous" on the back, an A3 Star Map and a paperback copy of the official sequel to "The Dark Wheel".

With 150 pounds, you can be a founding member of the Elite, have all future updates for free, receive the premium box which contains the game DVD, the CD of the music, book, t-shirt, the star map. This is an excellent choice. Better than investing in the extras I think

I wish they'd offer a A0 star chart or an A1 star chart something pretty huge I could paste on the wall over my PC

Yep that would be pretty cool, much as I know I will love the ingame maps, having a physical one gives you a more overall look at a big area quickly and helps plan a certain trade route or plot some mission through various sytems.

To the horror of some here I may even scribble all over my map! Putting quick ref points such as new discoveries, excellent trade routes, mission/ bounty plots perhaps, I love looking back after time to see a physical histroy of what ive done, good or bad!
Obiously it wont be possible to do to much on it, I will see.

Same with any booklet we get, it will get thumbed to death, mainly from being read in the bathroom! ;) I will make good with any ingame diarys, maps, help features but I know my trusty pen and paper pad will still get good use for quick ref.

I think the star map in the box of collection will have the same size as the map of Frontier Elite II. This is for reasons of cost. It is expensive to print thousands of copies

Sounds like I am literally amongst the very few that love the huge logo ELITE T shirt.

I really need to buy another because the one in the premium pack is staying sealed so I need one to wear.

There should have been an Elite: Dangerous onesie. David and Michael could have worn them during their video presentations. It would have lent the required gravitas.

I think I may change the name of my ship.

"Wearing the required Onesie of Ultimate Gravitas"

As Izzy said at the £100 pledge level you get the following.

Physical DRM-free collector's premium boxed edition of "Elite: Dangerous".
A premium boxed edition replaces the standard boxed addition, it includes a T shirt with "I backed Elite: Dangerous" on the back, and a paperback copy of the official sequel to "The Dark Wheel".

Which will be sent out when the game is released. :cool:
