The FDL's "Dead" Pixel

It's not a 'dead pixel'. For a start it's more than one pixel, and it has graduated colouring (or at least a blurred edge), so it looks like it is deliberately rendered. Absolutely no idea what it is though.:S

I can't get into my ship at the moment to check. Is that not where your wanted status is shown? Is it possible that it means there is no wanted status?

OP, this should be your avatar from now on. You made us all go mad [wacko]

I've noticed a stray pixel on a number of ships.
Perhaps it's just that new external camera that's really been there all along, we just couldn't use.

The only dead "pixel" I saw was the single orange pixel to the right of your hull percentage in that picture. directly to the right, surrounded by darkness. super obvious.
Why did nobody see that?

I'm 99.9% sure that's the "silent running" text but blurred and really really small, meaning it shows up on every UI. It has the same colour. Is F-dev really that... Hard of sight as to miss such a thing ?

That is the un-illuminated HUD indicator for the WARNING display. It's not dead. If you are speeding, or wanted, or have wanted passengers, it shows itself as most certainly alive.

It has been there for as long as I can recall. I check for that dot now more than ever, when hauling passengers to verify that there are no warnings about wanted passengers aboard before leaving the station.
