The Fear Expedition
What it is
An attempt at finding whatever is in the Formidine Rift and/or within the Heart And Soul nebulaes.
Equipment used
An Imperial Clipper with a 5A Frame Shift Drive with a Grade 5 range optimization modification from Felicia Farseer (total range with payload: 32.83 Ly). It is also equipped with a 34T cargo hold for whatever may be found there. 2T is reserved as a corrosion resistant hold. I am also carrying a SRV.
Why this equipment?
We know that Salomé used an Imperial Clipper in the book for her expedition and most likely found whichever she was looking for. We also know that it is somewhat dependent on who is going (which I find odd, but whatever). So that leads me to think that it can go with either ship type OR imperial rank.
In the case of the ship type, I am safe: it is the same ship as in the book and for the rank I am an Imperial King (even though I support the Empire the least. Go figure.) so for both of those I am covered. Why not Pilot Federation Rank? Well we know nothing of Salomé's rank, but it is unlikely that she was an Elite explorer given her function requiring her not to leave the Bubble for too long.
I am also carrying an Unknown Artefact on-board in a corrosion resistant hold. It is unlikely to be linked to whatever is out there but I am not taking any chances. I know that Salomé was not carrying one but hey, maybe if those things are as scary as they sound, maybe I can unleash them on the Thargoid too?
Expedition milestones
Milestone 1: The Heart & Soul nebulae
Some suspicions have been made that this couple of nebulaes may be linked to the mystery: apparently along the RR line and tied to a code delivered by some wreck in a shipyard. Maybe there is something there to be found?

Need more to be said? This is when I will arrive at the edge of the rift separating both galactic arms.

This will be the period during which I will be crossing the dangerous badland inside the Formidine Rift.

Milestone 4: At the edge of the Milky Way
This is when the Formidine Rift will have been crossed and I will be at the edge of the Milky way.

What you can do for to help out on the Fear Expedition:
- Come and help! More searchers can only be good.
- Give details and information. It must be said that I am not too much looking forward to trudging through this whole thread for information, so if anything need to be known, tell me about it!
