The fire of a thousand stars.

Once again, the Galaxy bears witness to our latest demonstration. The people of the Empire keep a strong tradition of politeness and celebration, preferring to see most aspects of the Galaxy survive rather than die, but we are under no illusion that the latter is avoidable. Another faction will doom itself by wronging us, the destruction of Darkwater Inc will not have been a sufficient example, and we will tear apart our enemies while considering a single, solemn lament: would that it had.

To those who would trespass our sovereignty or disturb our way of life—you think you have a plan for escape, but you fail to understand the Empress fully when she says that you have no place to hide. There is no system to which you can flee, no law which you can invoke, no disguise you can wear, and no bodyguard who can protect you. There are no barriers of any form behind which to cower.

One word, and you will be consumed by the fire of a thousand stars. One word, and you will be consigned eternally to the Dark Abyss. Cross not our Empress, for she has but to speak your wretched name.

Was this meant to be in the Roleplay forum? Not sure the point of posting that in the Community Goal forum as it's own thread, not even in the related CG thread.

Insofar as Imperial Combat alerts draw typically a much lower response, my intention is to delight, inspire and embolden all pilots who contributed to Darkwater's demise, or would consider signing up for similar scenarios in future. It is intended to be read as a speech, but it is intended specifically and purely for pilots browsing content related to alerts, not anything else.

Its content, title and location are all exactly as intended and the purpose would be ruined otherwise. Ironically, the only factors which are eroding the desired effect are the evident pack of picky post-police pouncing on the prospect of changing or moving something arbitrarily.
