General / Off-Topic The Firm - Star Trekkin'

After playing ED for way too long last night, I had this stuck in my head all day today.

Any other oldies remember this 1987 classic? They just don't make them like this anymore!

"You cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics laws of physics!"

Maybe this could be the new title sequence music?!

On a side note, clearly everyone was insane in the 80's

Hehe... Like that tune. Memories.
It also reminds me of this...

Mainly because for some reason it has some Kirk/Scotty/Spock dialog going on. It is also associated with my memories of playing Elite on the BBC, along with lots of other '80's tracks I probably shouldn't mention.

My favourite primary school teacher was Mr Sandy Hose (that was his actual name). He'd get bored or see us frustrated doing maths or something. Would break out his accordian and the song sheets and we'd do some music.

Let It Be and Star Trekkin are the two that stayed in my head.

Nice. When my maths teacher got bored, he'd make us take it in turn to stand outside the door until he said we could come back in. He'd find it funny because if the headmaster happened to walk past, he'd assume we'd been sent out for misbehaving and take us to his office for a beating.

Ah the old days!
