The police missed a trick, they should have turned up in Red shirts with phasers on stun 
what were they charged with? excessive use of the force and wasting police time(lord)?

But the Dr Who Fans were arrested for criminal damage to an exhaust port
Policeman questioning Star Wars fan at the convention:
"Okay gentlemen, I'm gonna need to see some ID. Yes I do. I have no idea what you're talking about - I'm looking for the perpetrator of an assault, not droids. No, not yet he can't, not until we're finished with him. Don't you tell me to bleedin' move along, sonny. Hey Phil, can I get some backup here, I think these guys are going to be a bit awkward."
