Just dawned on me there.

It must be absolute torture for the mods of this forum.
You know when someone says (and im not excluding myself from this by the way) something really, really, really dumb and its almost theraputic when you get to reply and fantasize that your logic has impacted them in the smallest way ( i know, i did say fantasize though). Its like..attempting to restore normality in a way, it feels good..and awful obviously because you know deep down youve commited now to a thread that will only end with that empty feeling inside BUT you get to reply. You have that damnit!!!

The mods...cant do that. Sure..in some cases they can just delete the post. But look at all those fringe cases where the "Point" is so lame, so childish in its presentation, so arrogant, so annoying BUT technically allowed...the mods cant do anything.Cant say anything. Cant argue the point. Just read it and weep for mankind. For themselfs. For our planet.

Mods, i salute you, pity you, and wish you all the best in life. Charity workers, firemen, doctors..all over rated.

This is where the real heros are.

I believe that the Forum Mods have two accounts. The first (and the one they have to be careful with) is the Moderator account, where they are managing the Forum, and where what they say is scrutinised by everybody else on the Forum. They also have a normal User account, where they can express THEIR opinions on things.

It is good to know you guys (and gals) take it that way. I would go mad within hours if I had to deal with all this. (including myself, of course)

I can't speak for the other mods, but when i was a mod i only really had 1 account. I did have a second account for a while but that was for RP purposes only.

I did have a habit of being rather blunt with my mod account at times, which might have contributed to my not being a mod now :D

We're actually free to express our opinion and discuss anything, as long as we stick to the rules like everyone else.

But yeah, thanks for the kind words. It's a madhouse at times, but mostly it's good fun. Once you swing that banhammer once, you never wanna stop! :D
