This is an great feat and happy to hear of such team work.

Not knocking the achievement as it probably wasn't your original goal when departing, however; I can note that it's totally possible to get there in a Sidewinder solo as well. If you're dedicated to getting that particular ship there anyway.

This loadout will work (I can confirm that 18.3 LY range is enough) however sacrifices the Detailed Surface Scanner in order to equip a shield generator.

It has Shields+SRV for (relatively) safe landings as well as an ADS and of course a Scoop.

You could also slot a 1C Bi-Weave if you really wanted, but it's 20MJ fewer than the Standard 2D.

I left the bubble in my sidey before Horizons hit, which means I only had three slots to use and there were no such things as SRVs. I also wanted to be a dedicated explorer and therefore needed ADS, DSS and fuel scoop (three slots, no room for shields).

Agreed, you could absolutely build a sidey that could get to BP without help...it just needs an SRV, ADS (doesn't even need shields although if there is room then good to have).

But if I had done this, I wouldn't be having the fun I am currently having with all the cool Cmdrs helping me out...and doing it my way is just a tad crazier!! ;)
