The Frontier Love Thread

Planet Coaster Ambassador
I just wanted to get a thread going to really show the love for these people. This game is so special and brings us all close together. If we step back from of PC screens and really think about what they have created it is absolutely fantastic.

I also just want to say sorry to people for not being active on these recently. I've had no PC for a while but now I have a new one and can be here all the time I can be! I've missed the community loads and have so much to catch up on I imagine. I bet some of you are just thinking who the heck is this?... Fair! Okay so the story is that I was posting about Planet Coaster loads on social media and on here and that and then I won a copy of the game and the Coaster Head Club membership by putting on a girls wig and pink shirt, then recreating an animation, true story... Roll forward to a CHC competition to represent it in London at a Planet Coaster Press Event that I won and got to go to! That then got me talking to Frontier in person and a while after that I got to go to the Frontier Studios and help out with there mascot animation as that is what I do as a job at a real theme park. Going forward even more in time they asked me to join them at Gamescom and be their Chief Beef! I was also made a Planet Coaster Ambassador!

The whole adventure so far has been a dream come true and I can't believe it's happening if I'm honest. I'm so happy to be back on here and talking to you all again. Once more and once again, thank you Frontier for the amazing game you are creating and the family you have created with this community.

This game is really shaping up to be something special. Frontier are so passionate and it really shows. The interaction and community engagement is top notch!

I can't imagine how excited you were to meet them Chris, you'll probably remember it for the rest of your life! Really special.

Thank you Frontier for deciding to help revive the theme park simulation game genre.

It is such a treat to watch this game improve. Alpha 3 is already incredibly fun and I am so excited to discover how Planet Coaster ends up at release.

The thought that a true 'RCT4' could actually be coming out brings me a lot of joy.

Keep up the brilliant work Frontier. <3

Indeed, this game is special for tons of us, and to be Chief Beef is just, well, outstanding, but a quite fitting role for you if you ask me. But you are correct there.

This game is really special, you are so right there. We all complain about things we don't like but really the game is just so incredible we've got to find something to nitpick! I'm very jealous that you get to work with Frontier like you do, but I'm sure one day I will get to meet Ed... err, I mean... the Frontier team in person so I can tell them how much of a fan I am! (And also how amazing I think their game is, and how this is the one game I've been waiting for my whole life [big grin]) .

You have created a fantastic game and a fantastic community here Frontier, and I love you all! [heart] (Not in that way though, don't worry!)

I'm so excited for Frontier and Planet Coaster. Kinda reminds me of TPS, but with a lot more personality. [up]

I'm so happy this team are making this game because frankly, it's already a masterpiece! All of those years I patiently sat there at my desk googling "New rollercoaster tycoon", "New theme park game for the PC" and the results returned left me feeling empty. But one day 'Coaster Park Tycoon' appeared in the results and it was being made by Frontier, the guys who did RCT3! I remember being stupidly excited for what was to come, a revival of the Theme park sim genre but I could of never imagined it would have turned out this good! When I saw the game running for the first time in one of the developer diaries I was blown away with how beautiful the it looked. I always had this vision in my mind what a next gen coaster game would be like but this exceeded that!

I'm glad I decided to take part in this alpha - despite the cost to entry as for me it has been worth it many times over. Seeing all of the changes that have been made over the different alpha phases has been a fantastic experience and honestly, this alpha feels more robust and complete than many full games I've tried! The team behind the game are gifted with a creative talent I'll never posses :D. I really look forward to seeing where they take this game in the future and hope we're in for the long run.

Thank you Frontier for reviving the theme park sim genre and for making it as good as it is! [up]

I'll withhold judgement until all flat rides are announced, there's a lot of old favs from RCT that have yet to be even mentioned, [mouth shut] sure, keep them under wraps until the final release if you so wish, but at least let us know what you intend to have included.

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I make a mindful effort to put positives in my posts, and I know Frontier wants our feedback, so sometimes I'm afraid my critical feedback outweighs my positive feedback.

That being said - Frontier is a wonderful group. It's been a lot of fun to be a part of the Alpha and being able to give feedback - and, feeling like Frontier is actually listening to what the community says.

I was in High School when Pong and the Atari 2600 were released. I'm an OG (Original Gamer), and what Frontier has developed is nothing short of MAGIC! I have a chronic heart condition and have a lot of time on my hands where I can't exert much energy - and, my gaming laptop and PC are a WONDERFUL way to spend my down time!

Thank you so much Frontier, and the community, for all the wonderful experiences with PC. And, the addition of the workshop assets has transformed the game to an entirely different level! Keep up the fantastic work!

I have the same problem, most of my posts are about things i would like to see added or like to see changed. Even tough i love the game. More precisely thats exactly why i am so critical about this game, because i actually love it and i want this game to be the best game it can possibly be.

Even as a child i loved to visit theme parks and to this day i still do, so it comes as a natural to love coastergames. I loved RCT3 and it seems 10+ years after it's release it seems like there is finally a follow up to this beloved game. Ever since the first livestream i realized this is the game i had been wishing for, for the last 6 or 7 years. Ever since that moment i eat the game, drink the game and breath the game.

Im on the forums when im at home, im on the forums when im at work (whenever possible). I visited gamescom for Frontier. As silly as it might sound, this game is a big part of my life for now, thats how exited i am for this. When you are that exited it's also very natural to get very worked up when you see small things you don't like. Thats why i can be very critical at times make my voice be heard in a strong way every now and then [mouth shut] But the core reason for that is because i love the game.

With loving the game, also comes loving Frontier. As they already gave me days and weeks and month's of pleasure with RCT3, now it seems they will give me a game to play for the next 10 years. THANKS!

Lovely words everyone. It really is more than just a game, it's a big part of my life and I adore talking about it as much as playing, that truly says something. #itsmorethanjustagame

I like the ideas behind this game too. It's something fun, the graphics are beautiful, the building tools are so easy even a 10 year old would be able to easily understand them without effort. I like how you can change the colours of your rides, custom build stuff and the game is like Minecraft only funner. And while it has no multiplayer in it, the game is so fun that you totally don't mind playing alone/single player in it. And the game looks clean too, the UI, the peeps/AI is great, and the music especially the theme menu music is delicious and is not being copyrighted by YouTube when we post our gameplay videos of it.

I want to give you some mood !! You team are working soo good! Here we are giving as feedback as we can. Sure is difficult to equilibrate the game but please, read us. I've been reading suggestions and Alpha feedback since alpha 1 and i'm always agree with some of the feedback of the users. I supose is easy to see the currents of the opinions and treat to find good solutions n.n

Frontier, you can team! :D Sure the game will bee as georgeous as is looking like :D
