The Fuel Scoop - Will Sol Be Under Siege In 100 days?

They need a reason to release the Krait. When the attacks get closer to Sol you know its almost time. I'd say the summer update.

I thought they were only attacking systems with Aegis facilities?

I don't think attacking Sol is on the cards but a slightly more subtle motivation is driving their aggression i.e. people (Aegis) messing with their stuff

I know how that feels...reading these forums and all the nerf threads

Didn't Drew Wager say in the last few months that "having a Sol permit would be useful"?

not a chance. they will never attack the wider bubble. Too many that have no interest in the goids would leave the game in droves if core gameplay is disrupted and the devs know that. Y'all need to dial your expectations back a whole hell of a lot.

I used to think that... But, now I don't know what to think.

Just outta curiosity but isnt sol a mostly Fed system? So apart from some misguided sentimental reason, why would an Imp help them?

Im not huge into the role play, although Im getting there but that thought just occurred to me as the most obvious. So does someone wanna correct me and set me straight about why sol is in any way relevant to a non fed? The loss of life is hardly a concern considering we are already at war and life is cheap in this universe...the thargoids are threatening to do the very thing we are trying to do to them.

So I ask again...why should I help sol when my loyalty lies with the empire? Would they help us if the thargoids were on our doorstep? Food fer thought ^

The loss of Sol is a blow to the Federation of course but hardly a threat to humanity as a whole. But if they attack Sol the rest of the core worlds may be at risk too and I don't think the Empire wants that.

Interesting information! How many remain to be hit? It can't be many now... What happens then?

I think the total is 19 out of 25 have been hit, so not may left. If it's only 6 left, that means they will most likely all be gone in 2-3 weeks which most likely coincides with when 3.0 will be released. After that is anyone's guess

Thargoids have already trashed 2 player owned stations. They are 250Ly from Sol. There are 4 more stations between them and the bubble, on the Aegis line. They will be in the bubble less than two weeks. The Thargoids are taking out our research labs. This is not their endgame, it's the opening gambit.
