The list has grown: ED will either become a P2W nightmare, PvP griefer hellhole, PvE snoozefest or that 'something else is wrong'.

I'll wake up tomorrow and this thread will be 80 pages long.

Because there is nothing to answer to. There is no MTX creep going on in ED as all the microtransactions are purely optional, they don't make your game any better.

Not entirely sure it needs any further engagement, but I can't see for a moment why that's an appropriate subforum.

There's no connection in that video to FD's MT model. There's no mention of QoL in the video. The video even makes a distinction between cosmetic MTs and P2W MTs. FD's MT model is not a loot box and FD have never shown any sign of progressing there. In fact, the whole video is about how the author thinks loot boxes days are numbered.

The only surprising thing about that video is there are people dumb enough to pay real money for advantage in video games. Now I'm going to be unkind and say why doesn't it surprise me that this whole mess began with sports fans.

If frontier goes pay to win, i leave.. and probably not just me.

i dont see frontier sell ships for real money or upgrade cards..

people that buy into pay to win should be shunned or burned at the stake..

For mine it wouldn't cause me to leave the game.....but I would never select open mode again, that's for sure. But I can't see Frontier going down the pay to win path for the foreseeable future.....

Sorry, but everyone knows that the only go faster colour is red - everything else is just bling...
