Like many of you, I was alone. I was insignificant. I would go about my day to day grind hardly seeing another commander, and even if I did they rarely had friendly intentions. Nobody was there to help when I needed it, nobody was there to share a drink with, nobody cared. It was just me, my ship, and the black. Alone, none of us can accomplish anything of note. We will "live", fly, and whither away.
Then I found a family. The Shadow Family. They were there to care when nobody else did. Together, we are able to accomplish what none of us can alone. Instead of withering away, we stand a chance of actually prospering. We can have the good life. Nobody is going to hand it to us though, least of all other commanders. We take what we want, we do what we want, and we have a good time while we're at it. As for anyone who messes with a member of the Family... well... the universe is a harsh place, and in response we unfortunately have to be harsh people regardless of what law some Senator or politician thinks he can force on us.
As for all of this talk about family... when I say family I mean it. We aren’t some disorganized bunch of hooligans. We aren’t a military organization that sees our members as expendable. We aren’t a group of ragtag mercenaries bending the knee to anyone with a few credits to rub together. We aren’t a stuck up bunch of vigilantes trying to force everyone to obey a misguided interpretation of the law. We aren’t even a crew of selfish thugs thinking of nothing but the next credit we are able to steal. We are striving to be an actual family. Our loyalty to each other is unparalleled. We want to build a community of Commanders who stick with each other, support each other, and ultimately create a positive experience for all of our members.
We support many play-styles and all levels of experience. Whether you have been playing a week or a year, you have a family if you need one. Obviously you will need to be what others may consider "morally flexible" when you are working with us seeing as we put our family first without consideration for the laws of hypocritical galactic "leaders." We are pretty new and have about a dozen commanders with us at this time along with a forum and a TeamSpeak server. It is the perfect time to get in if you are interested in helping shape our future, or if have the aspiration to someday help lead and guide a family.
