THE GALAXY MAP FINALLY USEABLE

It is somewhat excited that i'd thought i'd drop this news here.
In the BETA I succeeded in using the galaxy map without swearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was absolutely brilliant.

Is it just me?
Am I hallucinating, did I inadvertently consume a heroic dose of shrooms and forgot about it?
Was it a fluke?! I have no idea really....did any of you notice it actually is useable in the beta?

I always have used the galmap without swearing :)

I did not notice much differences other then the 20,000 LY thing.
But that may be because I always operate the galmap with my hotas.

Henri, what changed for you?

I hope it's not the shrooms talking. Can't get in to the game for a couple of days, but that's the first thing I'll try when I get back. Using the map in VR is SO clunky at the moment. It would be so good to plot a route without having to hold my head at peculiar angles just to get the right system selected.

- Fixed an issue whereby the System Map popup auto minimised when using a control pad

That's the only change in the current patch. Nice fix though. Now all I want them to do is change it so that the view is not at a 0 degree angle every time you enter the galaxy map.

the pointer now snaps to the menu where you choose stuff, system, route or info and things....
usually I have to move the pointer back and forth frantically until the thing decides to let me click something

I've always had two very annoying issues with the galaxy map in VR.

1. I click on a system map and won't open until I exit the galaxy map and start again.

2. I click on a system and attempt to plot a route and nothing happens until I exit the galaxy map and start again.

These don't always happen the first time after entering the galaxy map, but they do happen often enough. Anybody else have these issues? I think I had the problem in 2D as well, where I'd select a system 990LY away but the route would not plot until ...

Hopefully this is fixed - I'll need to check it out.
