The game is still called "Elite Dangerous Physics Engine"

Technically everything works well (and that's the most important thing obviously) but it's still confusing that the main game itself, the one that we start to play is called "Elite Dangerous Physics Engine". The Xbox One Game Hub goes by the same name as well as when we take screenshots or videos. Also the achievement list displays the game with the same name which confuses a lot of players. "What are you playing?" - they ask and with good reason. According to its description the Physics Engine is just the underlying technology and not the games themselves. Yet the licenses and content seems to work in the opposite direction. The Standard and Arena editions are just 20 MB licenses and the Physics Engine is the 6.5 GB main game. Does this mean that it will forever be called Physics Engine? It looks a bit silly to be honest. Can't it just be renamed Elite Dangerous?

I think screenshots and stuff will have to say Physics Engine from now on due to how the engine works and how Xbox works. The game had to be cut up to march how it works on PC.

Guess it's a wait and see.

Despite mine now calling the App itself Elite Dangerous in My Games and upon launch, screenshots still reference the physics engine, if I pin a shortcut, that icon also become ED Physics Engine.

would be nice to get sorted, but not really all that bothered myself.

While it's obviously super minor, it's a bit weird that screenshots for example are from this new "Physics Engine" game.

Nothing really bothering or anything, just feels awkward.

Hopefully it'll be sorted out.

Yes, the main game tile on the Home screen says Elite Dangerous but the pinned tile says Physics Engine. Not a huge problem by far just confusing, and anyone who is planning to buy the game asks what he should download because it's not immediately clear. Anyway, not a big deal.

Yeah, mine's been the same since the update. As long as nothing affects licensing/DRM/accounts (i.e. re-DL'ing in the future, and being charged again), I'm not fussed at all.
