This does have a connection to the game insofar as the EU was used as a comparison of the Alliance in the game. The current Euro turmoil could be food for thought game wise as an example of just why the Alliance fails to be as powerful or coherent as the Federation or the Empire.

Do not believe that my thread is a provocation. Many peoples in Europe, and also the Nobel Prize in economics say that the Germany must change its behavior. This is a serious and persistant subject , the last few years
It is not just Germany. It is much more fundamental.
The only thing that can cure our sick economies is total change. Our system is rotten to the core.
Communism didn't work, but neither does capitalism.
Our economies crash again and again and again. That is not just bad luck. It is systemic.
