General / Off-Topic The Grand Tour

The only thing that interests me about cars is how much it is going to cost me.
That said I always liked Top Gear back in the day as of course it had entertainment plenty for non-car fans.
So the Grand Tour for me is the same and I am enjoying it.

Some are saying now it is too staged but I like the Comedy they staged.

I hope they stick to their own way on the show.

Since a few years I have a different view of the automobile. I see this object as a source of constraint. Public health, animal mortality, personal budget ...

With only an exception placed on off-road vehicles, I can't help but agree. I've never owned a car before and never held a driver's license (I do know how to drive and have done so at numerous times, I just prefer riding a bicycle or driving off-road), and until self-driving becomes more of a thing (which I suspect it will in 2018) I've no plans on getting an automobile.

Not having a car is a form of freedom

Hmm Ive had a love affair with cars fer most of my adult life...the faster and more unique a car is, the more interested I am in it...life is too short to drive boring cars.

Always loved top gear...still havent forgiven the BBC fer shelving it and never will...it was worth the license fee alone but...amazon is cheaper and way easier to setup than sky. Seen enough bits n pieces to tell me I wont regret it...long live Clarkson yay, down with the BBC boo ^

I cant link from here but the road test between the r32 golf, vauxhall and the gta v6 alfa romeo is an old favorite...as expected the alfa won which surprised a great many...though not me as I owned a gta fer 4 years and knew exactly what it was capable off...beat the VW with ease and left the fraksall literally standing, and thats before the engine was remapped and suspension stiffened ^
