So i was considering doing a trip around the milky way but apparently someone is already on it.

Well I spent too much time on the preperations so I will require some help.

I accept any suggestions on a possible route to any point of interest. My job will be to attempt to complete the journey and write a fictional journal of a commander,who is bored of all the turmoil in his home and decides to go on a journey of exploration.

Looking forward for your suggestions.

Do you plan to start from Sol? If not you should probably swing by at some point, then maybe points of interest from other games? I would suggest places from Freespace but they're all quite close to Sol and some require permits. So I guess... Crab Nebula?

I can start from anywhere and take any route suggested. I would like to turn this journey into a actual story. I will be imagining the journey like I'm living in this universe. I will try and gather as much information and refer to in game events (also I will try and find information on exery aspect of the life in the elite universe to try and make the journal more authentic).

Also I will not start the journey any time soon (except if there are really good suggestions) because I am really interested in the new powerplay update that is coming and will delay this until its out.

Oh I thought you meant exploring as in going faaaaar outside civilized space, my bad. How about this: you were born in a relatively poor outpost near the edge of civilized space, an independent system that's always had trouble from pirates. Your parents worked in System Security and when they died in a freak accident involving another person's ship ramming into theirs at high speed while docking, you inherit what meager credits they had and your father's old Sidewinder. Since you grew up on tales of the respected and wealthy Elite Ranked Pilots, you set out to be the very best, like no one ever was, to catch them is your test, to train them is your cause.

But seriously, I think a start like that, maybe you wipe out the local pirate factions or seek revenge on the person who killed your parents, then take it from their as you travel further into civilized space, participate in Powerplay or Major Faction mission that are relevant to your narratives, maybe become a mercenary in a few civil wars, sounds like fun. Do you plan to use other players in a Private Group to play other roles for the story?

Actually I meant far outside civilized space . I will go anywhere taking any path. No limitations (maybe).

Also I will be doing only exploration with a ASP with a limited equipment ( no guns shields cargo space just maximum jump capacity).

I want to start the story of CMDR Black Hole Joe. In the future he may go on a pirate hunt or any other adventure I can think of. But for now it will be a story of a inexperienced explorer on a epic journey.

I often think of stories relating to things I see or play (actually I am working on a book) so I wanted to do something similar for Elite.

I would appreciate any help.
