The Great Oculus Rift/Facebook Conspiracy

Now you can call me a conspiracy theorist if you want but Why.

1. American preorders are being serviced well ahead of the rest of the world.
2 Amazon USA has CV1's for delivery next day, but not for delivery outside USA.
3. Amazon though out Europe has a company selling CV1's for 400 pounds or euros more than Oculus price. But supposedly you can only buy 1 in preorders but Oculus still hasn't serviced all Day 1 preorders.
4. Vive has 3 day turn around but is broken in Elite and no longer will some rift games work.
5. My CV1 order now has an estimated shipping date of TBD instead of August. I have emailed Oculus with regards to this last Friday but have yet to hear back from them.

I really hope it's just my imagination but I am having visions of the Betamax/VHS, HDDVD/Bluray, CV1/Vive and Facebook knowing they have lost and are just being spiteful.

i dislike facebook, and also dislike the DRM stuff they are doing with VR.


and altho the AA is horrible with my Vive... sitting on the stairs behind the seat in the conda, while smoking a fat one... is really hard to beat :p

Oculus back-tracked on the DRM issue. Fair call (bad move a few days earlier, but does it hurt sales? Not really, it just raises awareness and more sales are made.)
Anyway, the up-shot for Vive users is that ReVive will work again.

Vive isn't optimal in ED, will give you that.

I'm in Australia, and had my last-day preorder shipped to me last Friday. Perhaps I'm lucky - Perth received a pallet according to FedEx pickup desk guy.

Stop hogging the durrie, Conch. Pass it over, man. :D

No one really knows how many CV1's have shipped vs. the Vive. No one's winning. Enjoy the content for your headset as it comes out.

The vive is not broken in ED. But you need to configure steamvr to get correct gfx.. then I can agree that it is strange that FD do not communicate this and there is a lot of people in forums that constantly write that vive is broken
