If you think ED is pure grind, please spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves.
I've been playing MechWarrior Online. It's not great. But it's free. It's a good laugh and change of scenery from ED... Sort of.
(Lots of pew pew lasers and missiles!)
Anyhow, an average Mech will set you back around 7,000,000 C-Bills. (They vary from a few mil, to 17mil).
However, on average, you only earn around 100k a match. 200k on a good match, but my average, being generally rubbish, is 70k. Lol
So, in order to afford the average Mech, I need to play 100~ matches!
And there's only 11 maps.
And all the game modes quickly degrade down to team deathmatch. Effectively, 1 mode.
So, 100 matches, 11 maps. 1 mode.
And that's for an average Mech, with default equipment.
And Heaven forbid you change you mind and sell you Mech. You lose 50% of its value.
Same with equipment.
Now, run along and enjoy what you have in ED.
I'll be returning to ED after that rude awakening!
I also want to see the aliens.
