The Hauler

Well, just got hold of the Hauler.

Interesting.

As fast as a Sidewinder yet a little fatter AND carries a semi-decent amount of cargo... Aggressive sounding engine too.

I dub thee... Ford Transit Van.

And I will treat thee as such until you yield me a Cobra Mk III.

Prepare to be cut up, undertaken and have my lights flashed at you whilst I eat pasties and chat on my phone, people!

I don't care if my top speed is 200 and yours is 240 - I WILL overtake you ALL!!!

Sincerely

Steve "White Van Man" O-Dog

Loved flying my hauler like a stolen transit. Just need a way to shout helpful advice at female passers by and a copy of the Lave Sun for the dash.

Upgraded to a Cobra now, and it's a bit too posh for me, with it's fancy dan 'weapons' and 'armor'. Pah.

I thought the hauler performed a bit too similar to the sidewinder at first, but I guess the lesser hardpoints sort of makes it feel more truckey.

First lesson I learnt when I upgraded to the cobra was that unlike the sidewinder and hauler it cant fit through the spacestation doors sideways.

Deceptively bigger :)

Watch out for the griefers & pirates as they love to target weak targets ;)

Indeed. And I shall heed well your warning!

Though as much as I hate to speak to soon, I'm either incredibly lucky, or not a tempting target, because so far, since day one of testing (almost 2 months ago now for me), I haven't once been attacked by a single "griefer" as they are known - or pirate for that matter (except NPCs).

Oh, for the information of anyone interested, my Transit is now affectionately named "Betsy".

I know. I drink wine now too.:D

Tch.

Even J-Lo remembers where SHE came from.

I.... I don't even know what to say to you man... Who, I mean, who ARE you??? :D

What kind of wine? I'm a big fan of Tempranillo Rioja myself and...

Oh for the love of peat. See what you've done now? Brought out my sensitive side and... and... right that's it, I'm going to write in my journal. I mean... adjust a carburettor - and talk about football. And BEER.

Also have one, chilling out as I trundle between systems trading away, the music of von Eldritch & Co. playing as it was for the original in 1985, the quiet summer night occasionally broken by my wife swearing in Swedish when Wildstar is bugging out on her again. I like this.

The Hauler is a means to an end. Give it an afternoon of thorough abuse, never even bother visiting the outfitters - just trade hard for a few hours and by the time you've dented every body panel it's time for the 'bra.

I do like a nice Rioja, currently working my way through a very pleasant Shiraz though.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm drinking it out of a tankard.

Did love scooting around in that Hauler though. I imagine the Lakon feels even truckier.

I love the cockpit of the hauler, it is my favorite so far. I like the rounded interior rather than the hash angles of the sidewinder and cobra Was not that thrilled of the sound it makes when coming out of afterburners... keep thinking someone is saying something and/or it's haunted. I really enjoyed it but the hauler is such an easy target for griefers and they seem to be on the increase I decided to upgrade.

There's always a first time :D

You have redeemed yourself. I shall henceforth drink wine from tankards! Though it's possible I may end up in a condition which rhymes with "tankard" as a result...

I always wondered what Homer was trying to sing into that radio he bought for Bart's birthday. I didn't realise it was based on a movie theme.

My eyes are open. Thank you. :D
