Track Rides The Haunted Mansion (recreation)

AS I said before - - this is awesome...but don't you almost want to just keep waiting before you get to far in the build to see if they release some sort of Omni-mover tracked ride?? It would kill me if I did all this work and right when I finished it could have been better. [cry]. I did this is my Star Wars park...was holding off on Hoth because I was trying to figure out how to make a snow land in a non-snow bio-park. And I was just starting to create custom fields of snow and snow mounds from scenery pieces...when they released the capability of mixing terrains...what a life saver for me just at the right time.

Well, the way that this ride is, I can still interchange the Magic Katz ride for the Omnimover System very easily. It would have absolutely no effect on the house, rooms, scenery, or special effects. All that the omnimover would be doing is enabling me to force the rider to view a specific spot. Fortunately, that would have no issue at all on my recreation. So if they were to release some sort of Omnimover ride system, I can still add it with no problems at all.

Also, it might be a while before this park is added to the steam workshop. I'm trying to avoid adding any of the specific scenic details (like the doors, windows, moldings, etc) to the workshop. The reason being this: I want this park to be fully released before I release any single items on the workshop. There's no telling how long this will take me to build. If I work on it several hours per week (say 10 or so), it could take me a few months or more to complete.

[EDIT]
if I have any triggers on the ride, I'll have to write down everything, then add them individually to the new ride. I have no problem doing this if need be.

As with most things in Planet Coaster the scenery is so detailed and customizable that you can create anything you want. However the ride systems aren't in place to achieve the ultimate sense of realism.

Today I have sent the park save as well as other files I used to the Devs so they can figure out what is causing the billboard issue. I have already explained exactly what's going on in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWKXKrAneI0

Hopefully we will have a fix for this Video Throttling issue, or at least a on/off button to turn video throttle on or off. I understand why this is in the game to begin with, to help with fps. But it really affects the delicate timing of the special effects.

Here is the completed Stretching Gallery Scene.

that looks great. I really can't even comprehend how you figured this one out? I was just at MK yesterday and rode this ride live. I always love yelling a loud chilling scream when the lights go out and the lightning flashes. It usually starts a domino effect of many others screaming....and several kids crying their eues out and kicking and screaming they want to go back. I just quietly walk into the loading queue and most no one knows who started it all. [cool][big grin][wink]

Well, There are 9 Billboards in this scene. 5 of which are videos, the other 4 are just wallpaper. I had to edit each video so it would be timed correctly. The portrait billboards are all playing the same video actually. It's one large video with all 4 portraits on it so they move at the same time. the ceiling video I had to create myself using a background image of the attic, and masking out the ghost host. Then I added a new image of the ghost host and attempted to have him swinging from side to side (it's not that realistic, but it's the best I could do). I then had to time the lightning flashes to match the video.

It took MUCH longer than it should have, but I was having issues with timing... as well as my computer not being able to handle it XD. But now it can handle it with ease.

Also, to hold the integrity and the "magic" of this attraction, I will try to hide the behind the scenes stuff as much as possible. I do have photos and blueprints of the ride and the behind the scenes areas, and I'll try to include them.. However with the gallery scene, I will try to hide how exactly this works. But I will also try to make it a behind the scenes access area so that if you want you can walk in them all around the ride like the real thing.
