I just wanted to say, yet again, a huge thank you to FD for their incredible work, and to all of you who backed the project early on and trusted them to deliver.
While it is clear that not everyone is happy with ED state right now, I personnaly love every bit of it. For what it is, and for what it will be in the future. This game is the embodiement of what I have waited for so long. It's something to get lost in, a place of wonders. In many ways, it has a very poetic feel. I don't speak english well enough to fully express this, it's a shame.
To all of you who are disappointed, I can certainly understand many of the points that have been made lately. But there it is: after all this time, the game is here, as it is, maybe lacking some features department, but unique and beautiful. And with enough love from both FD and players, it could without a doubt become even more. What exactly, we don't know, that's the beauty of it
If you asked for a refund or are willing to do so, please, please reconsider. The game needs you. Put in perspective what has been done so far. A development process is always bumpy and full of unexpected events. That may be unfortunate in some cases, but stopping on spot and refusing to go on is not an answer. This game is a product, all right, but it's also a whole concept, and a piece of art. It's certainly not the licensed annual corporate FPS that will please the mass. If you're here, you're not in that mass anyway. You're elite (yes that one was visible from a long distace
) .
The only fact that this is a space sim is telling a lot about the non-casual, hardcore nature of the game. The genre was dead. Look at what FD, RSI and even Egosoft have done for it. They need us to go on. Please don't go away.
But I digress. Again, thanks to you all. I'm having a blast
