The HUD menu in the upper left corner

So I am seeing this HUD menu, I am getting mission updates and there is a section of it updating for each update. I tap R3 to free the head tracking and look up at it. It brings down the chat within my history but is unresponsive to other controls to filter to the next tabs.

Anybody found out how to tab through this menu while in flight?

Hold square, press up on the D-Pad. Then use R1 and L1 to switch between the tabs. When you're done, press circle.

up on d-pad+triangle, then R1 and L1 to go through each tab

Edit: hold down triangle before pressing up
