The hunters return...

I was kitting out Hermione (my Anaconda) for her first exploration trip when I happened to read the Quivira news article "The Doom That Comes To Quivira". Guess we will take the trip down there again for the next standoff.
Anybody down there?
Has it already started?

Not there yet but about 12 jumps away, found a good place for a refit, just worked out my module power and leaving now.

I'm there now. Can see two high-intensity conflict zones (active). No CG at Godel Dock. I'm heading to Stapledon Dock to see if there's anything over there.

Edit: Two low- and a high-intensity zone at Stapledon. No CG.

No sign of any capital ships. Where would they appear?

Well, I relocated to CF 464, near Quivira.Waiting...but I'm in a Python.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like an exclusive thread for Vultures but, after the last CG, I felt kinda lost in mine. After shooting for a week straight, going hunting in RES zones wasn't so appealing so I swapped my ship for an Asp and tried piracy. (My previous Asp was for exploration). After hours and hours of telling players I wasn't going to shoot them if they dropped cargo, then having them run away and me destroy them, I realised piracy wasn't for me during a nice incident.

I had just interdicted a T6 in my Asp. I politely asked him to stop and submit to a scan and that no harm would come to him if he did. He boosted away for a while until his hull was down to 16%. At that point, he said, OK, I'll stop. I scanned and demanded 10t. What I hadn't seen was a player Vulture enter the fray, who shot at me (now wanted) and made me hightail my way out of there. What a great moment. I lost, I ran away, but to have another player save another ship and its cargo was great. I promptly went out, got my fully kitted out Vulture back and flew back to follow in the footsteps of this other Vulture commander. I wouldn't use my skills to pirate ships, I would save them ! Although, I've not saved any traders to date, but then the Galnet news article came up about Quivira and made me love the fact I had a Vulture again. I'll be back in Quivira in about 10 mins....
