The Hutton Challenge

Hey Commanders, I thought it would be fun to take the Hutton Challenge. So here is what I've Done. I Have traveled to Hutton Orbital in the Alpha Centauri system. To collect "THE MUG" After I collected it I took a picture of my Ship Next to the station to prove I was there..I'm Calling it "A MUG SHOT"...So take your Mug shot and post it here to prove you were there... Hope to see some nice pics.

I still think that "THE MUG" can be an unlockable decoration for your ship dashboard. Maybe it could boost sales for other products once CMDRs see how cool it looks.

Also, considering how long and boring the trip is, why don't give a free trading product that sells pretty well in other systems so people won't feel disappointed for completing a pointless rite of passage? Maybe a special drink called "The Anaconda".

you can also run the EDMC plugin called the Hutton Helper and get your name on the hutton run hall of fame, and see how your time stacks up against other commanders. Its calculated from jump-in to docking on the pad and over 230 commanders are on the list so far!

That's what I thought it was going to be on my first trip, nobody told me that I just assumed it for some reason. I had stacked a bunch of cargo/data missions and made more on that run than I had in any previous 2 weeks of play so I wasn't too disappointed.

It's only a pointless rite of passage for those that choose to make it so, same goes for boredom. The main reason to go to Hutton is for the easy money and the money is easy because you don't have to sit there and be bored. Just point your ship towards Hutton and watch some Netflix, read a book, do some laundry or whatever. It's so easy I never understood WHY it was a rite of passage to some people or why EDSM had the badge. I certainly never understood people having actual Hutton mugs made up to commemorate their journey. Even if you sit there in front of your screen through the whole flight it's not a difficult journey (once you're on course it requires no input) and there have been times over the years where I had a work commute I did every day that took longer than the flight to Hutton.... each way.

There are two rare goods at Hutton - The Hutton Mug and Centauri Mega Gin - maybe not Free, but cheap to buy. Take them to any station around 150-160 LYs away and sell for a huge profit. If you take a large ship with collector limpets and some friends, they can load you up to completely fill your hold and make an even bigger profit.
