This is a copy of what I had posted in another thread with the same idea.
If I ran the world, the way I would set it up is...
#1 Unique to Hutton Orbital. Open to all players with in game currency.
#2 If ship with mug is destroyed, mug is gone. Must return to Hutton to replace.
#3 Ground crew can not be trusted. After a round of outfitting or ship transfer there is a fair chance of the mug being stolen.
#4 On long exportation trips, interesting lifeforms will start to grow.
#5 Released into game with NO announcement. Not the slightest hint.
Good thing I don't run the world.

The one change I would add is a Perma-Mug would be for sale in the Frontier store. AKA Mug can not be destroyed with ship, or stolen.
