The Hutton Mug

In a nutshell, why can't I buy one of these in the Frontier store?

It's a rare trading item in the game and it'd be super-easy to get some made to sell on the store.

The one in the game is supposed to be "made from the salvaged frameshift drive plates of ships that ran out of fuel before reaching the station" so it'd probably be better if it was made from metal rather than being ceramic.

If you google "Hutton Mug", quite a few people have already designed their own so it seems like there's some interest in it.

I still want one as a dashboard ornament as a reward for doing the trip. An hour and 15 minutes in SC is not something to take on lightly and I really believe we should have some recognition for making the longest SC journey to a station in the game. I was really disappointed when I found out the Hutton Mug was just a rare item to be bought and sold as a commodity, I really wanted one on my dashboard to show I'd been there.

Totally agree, maybe now with avatars we could have an "Accesories" option, something like a cigar, a gun, a flipping coin, or some vanity items like the hutton mug unlockable through some in-game achievements

P.D:LOL! I thought of a pigeon on hands and some "I have seen things you won't believe..." attitude, like Rutger Hauer on Blade Runner, all of these as achievement for everyone on the 65k Ly mark of exploration

I'm a new Commander and I've been to Hutton 3 times. I agree with the idea that Frontier should sell a real world mug in their store but only with a unique code that the station issues when you arrive, all important bragging rights.
