The Ideal FDL Hardpoint Loadout

I'm still testing but I run 1x Huge Beam, and 4x multies. Works very well, but will cook your ship if you're not careful. Lol

I'll try the huge multi sooner or later.

previously I tried 2 burst and 3 mc including the huge mc, all gimballed of course and it was... okay I guess? now I'm using huge beam and 4 multi setup as some here already posted, and I'm quite loving it, you can conserve ammo for smaller ships using just the huge beam which is better than 2 med burst.

I prefer 5 multicannons; although the reload time on the class 2's can be a bit inconvenient I seem to take down targets fastest with this build. And the fact that you can allocate more pips to shields and thrusters is a huge advantage.

Lots of useful feedback. So combining beams with mc seems to be the clear fav.

I started out with four med pulse and a gimballed cannon, but the tracking with the underbelky mount is bad. I might go fixed huge beam and four mc after reading over this thread.

No one uses 4x C2 fixed burst w/a gimballed C4 MC? I find those to be a good balance between stopping power and energy consumption.

Currently 4x Medium G/Beams with the Huge G/MC. I really want to try it reversed (4x Medium G/MC with Huge G/Beam) but it's darn good as it is and that huge MC doesn't have any spin up. I am generally able to maintain 4 pips to engines against most ships thus far.

I've been experimenting with a variety of loadouts, and generally that the left two, and right two hardpoints have wonderful convergence. Right now, I've got dumbfire racks on the right two mediums, a fixed beam and fixed burst on the left two, and a huge gimballed MC on the belly. The lasers are primary fire in one group, the missiles are primary fire in the other, and the MC is seconday in both. Those twin dumbfires pack one hell of a punch, and can knock out weapons and engines with terrifying speed.

1x c4 Fixed Beam laser
4x c2 Pack-hound Launcher

Because with high-capacity mods for missiles, there's nothing more satisfying than launching 64-96 missiles in one volley.

A glowey Bowling Ball that drains the power from everything, including your cell phone.

I understand the cannons have had their flight speed buffed, to near the PA's speed. When and if my infatuation with the HMC wears off, I'm reaching for one of those.
