I just hope they've improved the efficiency, the best bonus would be better speed and more agility on lower pips. That's more of a combat change than racing though so we'll see what they do.
Again, the rotational speed is limited by the flight computer. Bigger thrusters don't change much. Notice when you accelerate the ship to give it a spin, the thrusters fire only very briefly before the thrusters are cut off.
The physical limiting factor is hull and pilot stress from the centripetal forces introduced.
So if you want more agility, tweaking the flight computer + hull reinforcement would be the way to go - while the same thrusters can be retained.
BTW, I also miss ships which use CMGs (control moment gyroscopes) for reorientation, instead of the RCS thruster assembly. Would be great for stealth builds, as it would omit hot and gaseous thruster emissions.
