The inner light

Well that makes for a beautiful picture, sure, but since AFAIK gas giants are not supposed to be transparent... where that light come from??

Did you have your headlights turned on?

No, seriously. I think headlights can be bugged sometimes... I've lit up asteroid rings while in SC, thousands kms away.

No it comes from the planet, I can see it even when not pointing at it.

And planets are not transparent, even those made of gas, so the light of the sun on the other side should not pass through it. Bug?

The planets are not meant to be transparent, of course; but it still is the star on the other side that shines through.
Naturally; it is a bug.
