We at the John Brown Society firmly believe in the liberation of all slaves.
But we have an order of precedence, we can not free all slaves everywhere at once, so we are starting with the Federation.
There are many the reasons, using The Great Emancipator's name for a station that slaves are transported through, being responsible for the destruction of families including my own, having an economy based on slavery, their crimes are too many to list.
But we have not forgotten about the empire, their slavery is just as wrong as the federations, but we are holding off on any hostile actions against the empire in general until the destruction of the federation.
This way we can use empire space for bases to raid the federation from, it also helps that empire seems very friendly to anyone willing to take on the federation.
The only exception to this policy is slave revolts, we will help any slave revolt no matter where it is, but in empire space we must not do this openly yet.
Since this is a secret organization this should be relatively easy, when delivering weapons to or for fighting for slaves in empire space do not use the name of the organization.
Just say you are a friend.
Now onto pirates, we see the pirates slavery as more a symptom of the overall problem and not generally a problem to be dealt with.
Once we eliminate slavery the market for their slaves will collapse and they will move on to something else.
Most pirates seem to make some money from slavery but do not dedicate themselves to it.
There are exceptions for example in Ngaliba there are pirates that primarily exist as slavers, they need to be dealt with as an example to the rest.
Let them know we will only tolerate their slave trading as a sideline, if they make it their primary business they become our enemy.
We shall not rest till every last slave is free!
