The Journey To Colonia

Hi everyone. I have recently been travelling to the Colonia system, and decided that keeping a log here would make the trip feel loke less of a chore. I am blazing my own trail to the system, so I should have some new and interesting pictures if I can upload them. My ship is called Horizon MkII and is a black Asp Explorer, that, I estimate, has covered about 20KLY in distance, earning most of my assets(18million Credits) That may not sound like a lot, but I managed to outfit Horizon with this loadouthttp://https://coriolis.io/outfit/asp/0pitiFfliddsnf5----------3e0uv640242f2i.AwRj4yvI.CwBjYRnbogmacg==?bn=Horizon%20MKII

Dont ask me why there are 2 of the same, but this is the first planet I stopped on to repair, restock and have fun in my SRV. This planet had every element required for a T2 synthesis on both AMFU and FSD!

/moved to the exploration subforum, and expecting screenshots!

as for that: upload to forum is disabled since loooong, you need to upload them to a third party and link here (via insert image) ... i use imgur, they give out a BBCode link like this:

fine ship, a black AspE, nearby as fine as a black DBE :p

Ok thanks for the tip on images, now i have just got to get some images of interesting places...
Btw sorry if I posted in the wrong place I created this account a while back but am new to the posting mechanics.

Thanks, just wanted to let everyone know that I am on Xbox One and none of these photos are edited in any way, they are straight from xboxdvr.

This is my first exploration log so far:

Day 1: 1/2/17

I set off on my journey to survey Colonia and all nebulae on the way towards and around the Colonia Nebula. In just a day, I am already at the Triffid nebula and plan to reach and survey the Eagle Nebula by tomorrow. Once I have visited Jaques Station, I plan to continue following the galaxy, even to the solitude void, although I think I'm getting ahead of myself there. I am following a route to Colonia known as the 'Colonia Connection Highway' and warn anyone else doing the same, that the G on Amundsen Terminal is INSANE. I required full thruster power upwards to stop myself smashing into the ring of rocks surrounding the terminal itself!

Hello again everyone. This is day 2 of my log, with even more pics this time!

Day 2: 2nd Feb 2017

I have surveyed most of the Triffid nebula, and am ready to move on towards the Eagle nebula. I am currently about 1.7KLy from Eagle's landing and plan to arrive there by day 3. Horizon is holding up well, with only a few minor failures in the cargo hatch and docking computer subsystems and 1 incident while fuel scooping, so my hull integrity is down to about 93%(oops)

Here are some more pics that I thought were worth sharing:

This high-metal world looks watery to me...

Very nice 'chocolate giant' being ripped apart by it's parent star:D

Another nice lava flow planet, viewed in system map

Btw I would love to hear your comments on nebulae near to the Colonia Connection highway and if there are any POI,s along the way.
Thanks for reading

Day 3:

Hi everyone, today is day 3 of my journey:

Day 3: 3/2/3303
Today has been a relatively smooth day, the only incident was when my AMFU tried to repair my FSD at 10C. Foryunately, I only lost 2% hull, leaving me at 91%. I am glad to arrive at Eagle's Landing and repair the damage caused by near-constant above light speed travel. I need to get my front hull plate strengthened before I head out to Beagle's Point.

About 977Ly away from the Eagle Nebula.

Don't worry. more pics are coming as soon as they appear on xboxdvr:mad:

Day 5:
Hello everyone, sorry for the wait. I did not have time to play Elite yesterday, so it's straight to day 5.
I have reached sacagawea port, the ------------- nebula and Gagarin gate.

Today I have made some amazing progress. I travelled almost 2.2KLy and am nearly at Colonia(2.78K or something)
I am going to make the final push tomorrow and arrive there by late evening. Also, EVERY SINGLE system I have passed through is a first discovered :D
