On the 9th of June 3306, the Drake class carrier KATEYODIO and its captain, along with a crew of 7 commanders, left bubble on a mission, to reach the system HD 79319.
The system was not reachable until that date, because of the limited jump range of the ships. The newly introduced carriers, made that journey possible.
After travelling for a couple of hours, Kateyodio arrived on the system HD 76133. After this point.. it was time to start writing history.
Using the system HD 81123 as a stepping stone, the Kateyodio arrived to its destination..
After cataloguing the bodies in the system and resting for a few hours, it was time for the return. The crew and the captain visited the Anaconda Graveyard to pay respects for all the commanders that came in the area to explore and share their findings, even though they knew, that they wouldn't be able to make the journey back with their ships.
The mission was a complete success.. system HD 79319 was reached and fully explored. The record braking C star (highest above the galactic plane), was discovered for all mankind.
After that, the commanders aboard Kateyodio returned to the bubble, also accomplishing the achievement, of being the first crew of commanders to make the trip back safelly from Cancri cluster.

Before the carriers update, me and cmdr Apollonio did some work, in order to make this journey possible, and reach that system as soon as we could, before anyone else.
I visited cancri cluster about 3 times and spend some time in the galaxy map, in order to find the route for the carrier. As you know, a ship cannot plot route to bubble from the cluster, so it was done mostly by using the galaxy map and visiting systems (except the last two) using an anaconda in order to check distances for the 500LY jumps.
Cmdr Apollonio tested the biggest part of the carrier route in beta and noticed that the game didn't allow the carrier to jump in certain systems (because of binary stars?), so he also visited all the systems in the route in live game, in order to gain the ability to view each system's map, and be able later to make the carrier jump to planets inside the systems.
We also met outside bubble in some unexplored systems and did small research in how the game works when tagging systems and mapping bodies in a wing. That way we were able to create two wings and have everyone's name in HD 79319.
The day before the update, all the crew members were got their prefered exploration ships, but also one big cargo ship each, to KALA system.
When the update went live we struggled due to networking issues (like everyone), but cmdr Apollonio managed to buy and equip a carrier in PANOI and made a small jump to KALA system, where the crew started loading the carrier with Tritium. We only loaded about the amount of Tritium needed for our trip and back (for about 8K LY in total) to save time.
When all the preparations were complete, the captain started following our route..
