While getting closer to my goal (Kepler-101), after each and every jump climbing ever higher above the galactic plane and watching the amount of stars on my navigation panel melting like snow under the sun, I slowly realized that I had already got as close as I could back when I had reached
Kepler-164.
So...?
I headed back there again, of course, after many failed attempts in reaching a better and closer position to Kepler-101.
I was greeted by this gigantic solar flare remnant (this shot is also reminding me I haven't shaved in a while now

)
I also found an old friend there, one of those funky Class IV... One of those I could never figure out where this green back light was coming from...
Funny enough, the information I was lacking from the Surface Scan was already there in the description blurb:
So Hydrogen and Helium, mmh... Doesn't tell me much more.
I looked up Alkalis and Silicates spectrum colours, and although you do tend to see ranges of green and yellow, nothing conclusive, really.
Later, I stumble upon
this article and remembered that Sodium was an Alkali metal, and that maybe... just maybe... Hydrogen along sodium might just make for a plausible explanation.
I would love to hear someone shedding a bit of light over this one, to be honest.

Good luck Commander, hopefully this should be enough but if not you can always gather more. I'm roughly in that area also.
I wasn't very hopeful to begin with, Cmdr, so I gathered a wee-bit more... Enough for 30 enhanced jumps altogether, in fact... and now I am here, seems it might not be enough (not even close in fact).
While looking for the best approach I figured out two things:
1) The very next star is about 50Ly away, and a 100% "Jumpo-Soup-Boost" will only grant me a 44Ly jump. Which is not to say I cannot make it, but I will have to go around finding a decent route towards that first next star on the way (let alone getting to K101).
2) There are two Kepler stars sitting right there, just out of normal range (but not unreachable).
Seems to me the sensible thing to do would be to try and visit those two puppies and forget about 101, at least for now...
